IDAHO Day – May 17th

May 17, 2013

Don’t forget to put in your diaries that May 17th is IDAHO Day – International Day Against Homophobia and transphobia.   Last year saw millions of people unite, across 100 different countries, in a common quest for a better world. And over at the IDAHO committee team we can see the pace of mobilisation this year is better than ever. Already, for example, we know that activists across more than 25 countries, will connect on the Day, by organising IDAHO “Global Rainbow Flashmob” actions…   In their newsletter you will find articles about new events planned in all world regions for May 17, some news from different countries, and opinion-pieces about and by LGBTQI activists in the global South. If you haven’t yet planned an event for IDAHO 2013, they provide you with inspiration, because one month is still enough time to join the global action, by organising an event where you are.   For resources, go to their website below:   http://www.dayagainsthomophobia.org/One-Month-to-International-Day,1815
