This year’s “Educate and Celebrate’ showcase was held at The Emirates Ground on 28th February 2013 6.30-8.30pm with a panel discussion ‘homophobia in sport from 5-6pm hosted by Camden LGBT forum. Daytime events included a schools sport tournament organised by ‘Football V homophobia’ Elly Barnes Pink List No: 1 and LGBT schools advisor for London and Birmingham is working across the UK educating young people through the curriculum about the achievements of LGBT people in history and eradicating homophobic language and bullying from our schools. The concert showcased student’s work from 7 participating schools at primary and secondary level, including music and drama performances, presentations, speeches, stalls and key speakers and local celebrities. SchoolsOUT, Pride Sports, Football V Homophobia, Consortium, EDF and Camden LGBT forum support the event.
