The Equality Act 2010 and Public Duty (Powerpoint Presentation)

The Equality Act 2010 also introduced the Public Duty which applies to all schools state, academies and independent.

It is an exciting constructive piece of legislation which requires us all not only to stop discrimination when it occurs but educate OUT prejudice.

The Powerpoint looks at how the Act obliges all public bodies to consider the Protected Characteristics when drafting policies to eliminate discrimination and harassment to create bespoke equal opportunities for all. It advises on the need to foster understanding through initiatives such as diversity months.
